Maybe you’ve cried yourself to sleep more nights than you can count, carrying the quiet weight of heartache after a breakup.
Or maybe you’re lying on the couch, numb, feeling crushed by the weight of another closed door when you prayed for an open one.
Perhaps you’re facing a diagnosis that came out of nowhere, and now you’re overwhelmed by the uncertainty of your future.
Whatever your situation, be encouraged today—but God has promised to walk with you through it all.
I’m on my own healing journey right now, and there are days I don’t have the answers. Some days, I don’t even have the strength to pray more than one sentence. But in those moments, I whisper God’s Word back to Him, with faith as small as a mustard seed. When I don’t have the strength to stand on anything else, I stand on scripture.

Be Encouraged: God is Near to You
God does not leave or forsake you in your pain. He is close to the brokenhearted and promises to walk with you, even through the valleys.

- “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” – Psalm 23:4
- “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you.” – Isaiah 43:2
- “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7
- “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
Be Encouraged: God Has the Power to Heal You Specifically
God doesn’t just heal in some distant, general sense—He sees you personally and has the power to heal your specific situation, no matter how hopeless it feels.
Scriptures:
- “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3
- “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,” declares the Lord, because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.” – Jeremiah 30:17
- “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” – Mark 5:34
- “Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” – Psalm 30:2
- “He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24
Be Encouraged: This Won’t Last Forever
Seasons of pain do not last forever. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Hold onto the promise that there is hope beyond what you are experiencing right now.

- “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” – 1 Peter 5:10
Prayer Response:
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word, your ability to heal, and your promise to heal me. I choose to trust You and believe in Your Word. Help me to trust in Your promises when I am weak.
Draw near to me as You have promised, and comfort me with Your rod and Your staff. Heal my heart, heal my mind, and heal my body. Give me the strength to hold onto hope, knowing that joy will come in the morning. Amen.
